Tiny Hat Nation

What is it about tiny hats that make people smile?

I’m not sure, but I’ve brought tons of smiles to people’s faces when I wear my tiny hat creations.

I always think it has something to do with how a tiny hat on big head sitting atop a large body.

I’ve created them for events, like my tiny tricorn hat to wear to a Renaissance Festival.

And you can’t forget the working pinwheel hat I wore to a press conference for an arts festival whose theme for the year was movement (they were using pinwheels in their advertising that year). The press conference was outside and the top pinwheel spun like crazy in the breeze. A Baltimore Sun photographer snapped an image that included my pinwheel hat and it ended up online as the visual for an article on the upcoming festival.

I love making people smile and laugh so I’ve embraced all kinds of little hats. I’ve made tiny Santa hats, witch hats, top hats, oddly angled hats, and battery-powered hats that light up. It’s a fun little eccentricity.

What kind of tiny hat would you like to see?
